Transform Your Mental Health with TMS Therapy
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a groundbreaking, non-invasive treatment designed to alleviate symptoms of depression and other mental health conditions. TMS is an FDA-cleared therapy for with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
Neurobehavioral Medicine Consultants was the first in our region to offer NeuroStar TMS, and now also Apollo TMS. We have years of experience delivering TMS therapy with successful outcomes.

Hear from Patients about TMS Therapy
Every story of recovery is unique — and so is yours. TMS therapy at Neurobehavioral Medicine Consultants has helped patients find clarity, energy, and renewed connection in their daily lives.
TMS has undergone extensive clinical testing. Research and trials have demonstrated both the safety and effectiveness of TMS in treating depression that hasn’t responded to medications. In fact, many patients who had suffered for years with treatment-resistant depression achieved significant relief – some even reaching full remission – thanks to TMS.
TMS therapy is now covered by most major insurance plans and Medicare for depression, given its proven efficacy
How TMS Works
During a TMS session, you’ll sit comfortably in a chair (you can listen to music or watch TV if you like). A small curved device with an electromagnetic coil is positioned against your head, targeting the prefrontal cortex – the area implicated in mood disorders. The device generates quick magnetic pulses (similar in type and strength to those used in an MRI machine) that induce tiny electrical currents in the brain. These currents stimulate neural activity in regions that are underactive in depression.
Over a series of treatments, this increased activity can restore normal function to the mood-regulating circuits, leading to improvement in depressive symptoms.
Non-Systemic
Because TMS acts directly on brain circuits and is non-systemic (does not circulate through your body), it does not cause the side effects commonly associated with antidepressant drugs
Evidence-Based
Clinical studies demonstrate TMS's success in reducing symptoms and improving quality of life.

TMS treatment typically lasts about 30 to 40 minutes per session. Patients usually attend sessions 5 days a week for 4 to 6 weeks. The exact duration may vary based on individual needs.
